Geopanel: the go-to formwork for challenging reconstructions

Geopanel was the first recycled plastic formwork, launched in 2005, whereupon it revolutionized the construction industry. It was modular, lightweight, and much easier to install than timber and metal options. This made it the go-to solution for any worksite and irreplaceable for reconstructions, which are usually done in confined spaces, with the manual setup as the only option. These 3 projects would have been much more difficult to build without it.
Carlsberg City District, Copenhagen
The old Carlsberg brewery was being adapted into a multipurpose complex with hotels, offices, and residential areas, involving multiple partitions inside the existing structure. Geopanel allowed manual installation, providing a timely completion of works, with a significant reduction in construction costs.
Kirkeby Gamle Mejeri, Stenstrup
The Kirkeby Gamle Mejeri project involved adding an extension to the old dairy plant and converting it into an antique and collectibles store. Geopanel helped build the extension’s foundation walls in a limited space between the site’s perimeter and the existing building, making the construction as unobtrusive as possible.
Terminal 1 Center, San Francisco
The Terminal 1 project involved the reconstruction of the existing building, which opened in 1963 as the oldest terminal in San Francisco Airport. Geopanel was used for pouring the concrete pile caps and walls in a difficult to approach structure, taking less storage space, machinery, and transport than alternatives.
