Outdoor green wall

The average difference in temperature between urban and rural areas has already reached 15°C, due to the urban heat island effect. Among tools proposed for mitigation of this effect, outdoor green walls have become a powerful tool, broadly accepted due to its numerous advantages: improvement of microclimate on the local urban level, decreasing the local temperature, improvement of the living conditions inside of buildings’ envelopes, reduction of costs aimed for air conditioning appliances, positive impact on mental health, when seen as the part of the overall urban greenery, aesthetic contribution to urban design.
 
Wall-Y, our product for indoor and outdoor green walls, can be mounted on substructures made of aluminium profiles, wood, or frames, or on existing walls directly. Between the ‘green layer’ and facade, a ventilation space is created, providing ventilation of the facade and protection from the humidity coming from air and plants.
 
Wall-Y can also be used on fences in households’ yards, creating thus a vertical garden, a visual, but not massive barrier. With a modular tray, available as additional accessory to the substructure, the green wall becomes even more vivid landscape element.
