Can the panel be used as acoustic insulation?

Although the system was not designed for this specific purpose, it reduces significantly noise and sound waves when used in suspended slabs.

Is the pour necessary?

No, for smaller heights such as 3 and 6 cm, the concrete itself is sealing off the openings and preventing the filling of the voided area under the installation; for the higher version 9 cm, it is recommended to close the later openings with stop-ends.
