Focus

The three main attributes that are usually needed for slabs used in parking lots are — large spans, a high bearing capacity, and the ability to create parking zones of sufficient height for vehicles.

The most technically and economically suitable solution is to produce bidirectional slabs capable of fulfilling all these necessities. To improve the plate structure, the creation of lightened and bidirectional decks capable of reducing structural weight is recommended.

This also allows the extension of the slabs between the columns in order to optimize their placement, which in turn lead to more space for adequate parking and easier maneuverability for vehicles. Furthermore, the lighter slabs avoid thick beams and pulvini, which can create up to ten centimeters of extra height for multi-story parking lots.

Our Airplast formwork can offer an alternative and lightweight solution when using predalles plates.
